A New Era

WKU's first home football game ushered in a new era in several respects: 1) the likely end of our home/home series with Murray, 2) the opening of WKU's newly renovated and expanded football stadium, and 3) Simon's tailgating initiaion.

The Toppers walloped "dear ol' Murray" (coach E.A. Diddle's affectionate name for the Racers) 50-9. WKU travels to some big names in the next couple weeks (at Kentucky on Sat and at Virginia Tech next week).

Simon and mom tailgate with friend Sidney.

Simon and daddy check out the new seats and watch the pregame warmup.

Mom and Simon enjoy the Topper romp.

Pumpkins, Pears, and Pies

We made our first trip of the season to Jackson's Orchard last Saturday. Accompanied by our friends Jon and Angie Doss, we got to see the fun pumpkins and sample the yummy treats that were there.

Simon inspects the bumpy pumpkins.

They didn't have many out yet, but the pumpkins were a hint of what is to come later this fall.

Simon dug into the bin ...

... and found one he liked!

He tasted some fresh pears ...

... ran a lap ...

... and then had some fried peach pie. Yum!

Twinkle Twinkle ABC?

Vacation is officially over, and the fall semester has begun. Our apologies for not posting anything lating, but things have been very crazy around here. We did manage to capture a couple of things the other night.

Below, Simon picks out the perfect shorts and shoes to go with his shirt.

Simon has been singing his favorite tune lately. Can you tell what it is?
