Interdisciplinary

Daddy teaches IDS (Interdisciplinary Studies) courses. The goal is to get students to see connections between different fields of study and aim at using various fields to get a clearer sense of an idea or problem. Simon seems to be heading that direction, given that most of his art portfolio consisted of pages and pages of numbers. In his defense, he had colored on a lot of them.

Hey! An art sighting! Painted pottery with a flower inside.

Naomi shows off two of her top skills: standing and the "Big Eye."

Food digression: Thai veggies w/rice. I used 1/2 the cayenne and it was still pretty hot! But, also tasty.

Bashams Strike Back

Computer death is a sad event. It is also crippling to a family blog. We have been working from a little, borrowed Netbook from work and we will purchase a new computer soon. That said, I think I have figured out how to make this tiny little computer do this.

The big news is that Naomi is now walking with the help of a little walker.

In other news, cooking has been been at the forefront. Cort can make decent Indian food. Chana masala, mutter mushroom (peas and mushrooms), and homemade naan turned out pretty well, especially the naan.

And, oatmeal pancakes with peanut butter, banana, spices, and almond milk has become a breakfast staple lately, too.

Here's to the return of the Basham blog!
