Wine Tasting

Last Saturday, we went to our friend Sydney's house. While the parents tried to watch WKU get slaughtered by Murray State, Simon and Sydney played their little hearts out. They did take a moment to be still and sit in Sydney's chair together.

On Sunday night, while Uncle David and Aunt Kelly were kind enough to hang out with little man, Cort and I went to Nashville with friends Jon and Angie Doss to see Iron and Wine at the Ryman. It was amazing.

Bump Up the Volume

For those who have not seen Laurie in a few weeks, a noticeable little baby bump has emerged. We went for a doc visit on Friday to see if the bump was healthy and normal and everything seems to be progressing quite well. Here's a pic, but hopefully we'll see a lot of you in person over Thanksgiving.

This is Week 13, and the baby is about the size of a GI Joe doll action figure (the little ones from the 80s, not the huge ones from the olden days). Baby is about 3.5 inches long at this point.

A Canon Shot

As viewers will notice, we have not posted in a while. That is due to: a) there's not a lot that has been going on lately; and b) our camera has been out of commission. So....this week we made a trip to the camera store to look at our options. We went with a Canon Powershot. We tested it out a bit this week -- here is a sampling.

We tried some action shots when Simon was dancing. Our other camera would always end up with BLURRY pictures. This one seemed captured Simon's dance moves pretty well.

Mommy stole a hug before we headed out.

YaYa, Mamaw, and other aunts and cousins were in Bowling Green for their annual Christmas shopping trip. We met up for dinner at the end of their day.

Piano Practice

One night before bedtime, Simon got a piano lesson from Daddy. Here they played a duet together.

All Hallows' Eve

In the midst of all the Homecoming festivities at WKU on Halloween, Simon and Daddy took time out to do a little trick-or-treating. Daddy got the scarecrow ready for a night of candy-hunting.

First stop: Ben and Sarah Dahmers' (aka Simon's babysitter).

At the Dahmers' house, the scarecrow found his friend, Dorothy! (aka Simon's friend Lila). Here they listen to very detailed instructions on how to properly pick out the bests treats when trick-or-treating.

Next stop: Sarah and Brandon Miles. The scarecrow pauses for a photo opportunity.

Last stop: Uncle David and Aunt Kelly's house. Uncle David helped Simon pick out good candy to take home and share with Mommy and Daddy.

Also during the Halloween activities, Daddy and Simon managed to join Mommy at the WKU Homecoming Parade, and finished their evening at the first WKU basketball exhibition game of the season. The scarecrow's straw was a little wilted by the end of the night.
