Heat Strike Over

I proclaimed that I would not post until this summer long heat wave finally broke...and it has! So, hooray! Back to blogging! Oh, wait. I didn't say that? I just got lazy and let Laurie post pics on Facebook for 2 months while I contributed next to nothing? Well, that's less grand, but a lot more true. Let's just cut to the update and try to do better from now on.

All of the old carpet in our house is now ex-carpet. We have even-better-than-expected hardwood throughout. Here's the before/after of the play room.

In other news, Naomi eats a lot. That's not really news, but what is news is that she walks to the cabinet and demands "Kah-koo." That's "cracker," and everything crunchy in a box is a cracker (pictured here, Goldfish). Chips, Triscuits, Cheerios...no matter. They are all Kah-koos. Kinda like how Southerners say "Cokes" as a catch-all for carbonated beverages.



















The heat did indeed break, which means our second home (Kereiakes Park) will get a lot more family time.
