Thanksgiving -- Second Stop

Second stop for this Thanksgiving was Breckinridge County!

Simon works on his truck before the feast.

Simon challenged Uncle Dooney to a wrestling match.

Papa gave him some tips on hammer safety.

Playtime with cousins Tara, Aaden, and AJ.

He even got his first Christmas present (ever!) from Katlyn since we won't get to see her on Christmas Eve this year. He especially liked the paper and the bow. :)

Thanksgiving -- First Stop

Last weekend, Simon experienced his first Thanksgiving. First stop: Glasgow.

Simon rides Nana B and Granddaddy's tractor.

Cousin Henry explains the correct way to play a four-key piano.

Simon helps Uncle Jason fill the cooler while Cousin Ada and Aunt Mandy observe their handiwork.

Simon wasn't sure what to make of all this Thanksgiving business.

WKU vs. Murray State

On Saturday, WKU played Murray State in basketball. It was a pretty exciting game, mainly because they are such big rivals. WKU beat them, 87-63. Cort was pretty excited.

Mmmmm, he loves basketball!

Simon and his friend Sydney during the game.

Simon has a fascination with the buttons on people's shirts. During the game, he found that he had his own buttons.

Playing at home after the game. Does he not look just like Cort's baby pictures in this one?

Homecoming 2007

To kickoff WKU's Homecoming weekend, the Homecoming Parade and Street Fest were held on Friday night. Cort picked Simon up early so that they could both attend!

Simon sees Big Red during the parade, along with WKU's President and his wife in the background.

WKU Marching Band

Simon's friend, Sydney, was in the parade!

Simon got his very own sticker from the Revolution 91.7. It tasted very good.

WKU Football Players passed by on fire trucks. At this point, Simon was more interested in his sticker than anything else.

After the parade, we headed to the Street Fest for a while. There was a double-header in basketball that night, and we made it for the men's game at 8.30 pm. We wondered how Simon would do, since that is right at his bedtime. We shouldn't have worried -- he fell asleep before the game even started!
