First WKU Football Game

A week ago Saturday, Cort played solo in Breck County. While all the other groups were Southern Gospel groups, they were gracious to let him play with them. :)

Simon, getting to know his new friend, Pooh. They decided to wear matching red shirts.

On Saturday, Simon, Uncle David, and I went to the first home WKU football game of the 2007 season. Cort was sad he couldn't go, as he had a Redfoot concert in Hartford, KY, at the same time. As we walked through the tailgaters, Simon gave us the "big eye."

Simon and me during the game. He was much more interested in his blue ring than what was happening on the field -- probably because the halftime score was 52 to 0.

These pictures all give me a big NANA SMILE!! Simon, you're really coming along on your "big eye" technique. And I love the Pooh smile.

The WKU game was more exciting than the concert...I assure you. The Whittles and myself sat at the top of the bleachers and made sarcastic observations all day, so that was fun at least.

Cortney, you couldn't have styled a better backdrop for the music if you had tried!

And I love that Simon and Pooh picture! What an adorable baby!

Amanda,

Yes, Laurie did a good job capturing the "old time" feel of the venue.

Alas, the building was built in about 2001. :) But, all of the old signage, boards, Coke machine, and other antique are authentic.

So, it's not a REAL country store front, but it ain't Cracker Barrel, either. :)
