Baby Alert Level: Yellow

First a primer in Baby Alert Levels:

Blue: calm; no chance
Green: all systems go, but little chance
Yellow: all systems go, 50% effaced, dilation has begun
Orange: labor could occur at any moment; keep your head (email/phone/etc) on a swivel
Red: baby is imminent

So, yes, Laurie is 50% effaced, 1 cm dilated as of this morning. Everything checked out great. She is 35.5 weeks right now, but measured 37 weeks. Simon was born at 37 weeks, so at this point it will be not be shocking whenever it occurs.

All this to say: we're in the home stretch.
