A Simon Lexicon

Our little man is starting to use words and bits of words to communicate these days. Mama, dada, nana, yaya, papa, Ada, and bye-bye are all clearly discernible. Here's a primer on his other vocabulary.

APPLE: bapple
BABY: bah-BO or bah-BUH
BALL: baw
BANANA: nuh-nah-nah
BOOK: buk (he rarely says this one)
CUP: bup
DIAPER: die-pah
DONE (I'm done/All done): DUH!
GRANDDADDY: dah-daaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
GRAPE: gop or bop
LIGHT: dat
MILK: mee (very short, stoccato sound)
MORE: muh (signs with hands, too)

So interesting -- Henry called grapes "bops" too, and we could never figure out how he came up with that one. Must be those weirdo Vance genes... ;)
