Master of the Universe

Another week has passed and Little Basham is now in Week 16. In a little over three weeks, we should have a video of the ultrasound and know whether the little one is a boy or a girl.

A new week also means a name change. The fetus is now about 4 1/2 inches long--or about the height of a He-Man doll, er, I mean, action figure. So, this week we shall go with Prince Adam (He-Man's real name) for a boy or Princess Adora (She-Ra's real name) for a girl. Click on links to He-Man and She-Ra to refresh your memory on what those mid-1980's characters looked like.

A couple more Old Wives Tales Prediction updates.

1. I asked Laurie to look at her hands and she looked at them with her palms up. That means...GIRL. Thanks to Grandaddy Donnie for this one.

2. The Chinese birth calendar based on Laurie's age and the month of conception says...GIRL.

That's 4-0 for a girl in the Official Old Wives Tale Prediction Championship.

By the power of Grayskull, I hope everyone has a great day.

There is a rich history of comic books and cartoons being turned into live action, feature length films.

Films such as the Xmen series, Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Garfield (ok, it was successful enough to at least spawn a sequel.)

But rising above all of these films is the legendary epic, Masters of the Universe. A film so divinely conceived and sculpted that only a talent like Dolph Lundgren could fill the immense shoes of the film's lead role.

The movie industry would never be the same nor, dare I say, the world!

There exist no word in the English vocabulary to describe its greatness so I am forced to make one up. And it is scrumtrulescent.

Glad everyone is healthy and things are progressing well.

Adora is a pretty name. ;-P

Heehee. Scrumtrulescent. Man, what a funny skit that was. L and I are going to see Talladega Nights this weekend as part of our 5th Anniversary $100,000 Jackpot Wad Weekend (Jackie Rogers, Jr. not included).

As I've often said of Will Ferrell, it takes a either a total idiot or a pure genius to pull off the kind of comedy that he does. I'm not sure which one he is, but I usually laugh a lot at his movies.

Oh, and do not forget my prediction...the firs tone to "genderfy" the young Basham child that is in Laurie.

I cannot type--I meant "first one" (not "firs tone", as if Tone Loc was involved in this, although he might be after the C+C reference not too long ago)

Yes, more evidence for a girl will be included in the next post, including the amazing run of girls at WBC.

I am sorry to correct, but Isabelle, not Grandaddy, provided the "hands up/hands down" wives tale. Grandaddy just passed the word along. Thank you, Isabelle.
