Warm Spell

Simon and daddy have been home together for a good while now (approaching a month). Most of that time has been spent indoors, away from Jack Frost and winter's cold winds. But, yesterday, the mercury reached 71 degrees, so Simon went for his first walk (with his own two legs) outside in the back yard. Well, "walk" is stretching it a bit, given the unfamiliar, lumpy surface of the lawn. Nevertheless, we had a good time kicking the ball around, and trying to eat sticks, leaves, rocks, and dirt.

Simon discovers the joy and breath-taking ability of 25 mph winds.

And the joy of mud. I think we actually avoided the TASTE of mud, though. Barely.

Looks like Simon is planning a bumper crop of tomatoes.

Simon always looks like he's being arrested for some baby crime.

"You're under arrest for being too cute. Hands in the air!"
